Grandparents

Grandparents

In October of each school year at Cornerstone Christian Academy, the elementary students have the privilege of hosting their grandparents for a morning in the life of elementary school. The morning begins with a breakfast together, and a photo session with their grandchildren. The students are excited to show their classroom, introduce their teacher, make a craft together or share an activity. Contests are often held to see what grandparents traveled the furthest, and who has the most grandchildren. Later in the morning the grandparents are treated to a special program in the Worship Center where each class presents a song, poem, or other tribute to their special grandparents. Then the students are treated to an early dismissal of a half day off to spend with their grandparents. It is a special privilege to honor grandparents…those who have gone before us.

“Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their fathers.” Proverbs 17:6 ESV
